You want it - you got it! New Moterra Alloy is here.

Many people were concerned that the new Moterra would only be available in a carbon-only version. But the opposite is true. There is now a more affordable version called Moterra Alloy. The name suggests it's built on an aluminium frame. What does it offer? Read on.

The new Moterra Alloy follows the same motto as its carbon sibling - ‘More Juice, No Excuse’. And it's true. The Moterra Alloy boasts impressive power and range, a robust chassis, and the capability to navigate brutal terrain with ease, much like a luxury off-roader. It's simply built to go further and faster. Among other things, it features the latest generation Bosch Performance CX engine, which can be easily upgraded to 750W of power and 100Nm of torque via an app. You can read more about that in this article about updating the Bosch engine on the new Moterra. The Moterra Alloy is available in two specifications, which we'll examine below.

The Moterra Alloy 3 is built on the premium SmartForm C1 Alloy frame, which adheres to the traditional frame-size suspension tuning called ‘Proportional Response’. The frame is tuned for 29" wheels and air shocks. At the heart of the bike is the currently most powerful Bosch Performance CX motor paired to an 800Wh battery, which can be supplemented with a Bosch PowerMore extender. Thanks to this, you're in for big power and enormous range.

American RockShox handles the suspension - you'll find a Psylo Silver RC fork with 160mm of travel up front, while the rear suspension is handled by a Deluxe Select Air shock, providing 150mm of travel. The durable wheels are wrapped on WTB ST i30 rims with a 30mm inner width, Shimano hubs, and shod in Continental Kryptotal tyres. Everything is tubeless, of course. Shifting is handled by a Shimano CUES U6000 LinkGlide 11-speed set designed specifically for e-bikes, and safe stopping is handled by Shimano MT520 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm discs. Of course, there is a Cannondale DownLow telescopic seatpost with 150-230 mm of travel, depending on the frame size.

The Moterra Alloy 4 is built on the premium SmartForm C1 Alloy frame, which follows the traditional ‘Proportional Response’ suspension tuning based on frame size. The frame is tuned for 29" wheels and air shocks. At the heart of the bike is the currently most powerful Bosch Performance CX motor paired to a 600Wh battery, which is lighter and offers an ideal range-to-weight ratio. And if that's still not enough for you, you can purchase an 800Wh battery to further extend the range of your Moterra Alloy 4. And just like the Moterry Alloy 3, the ‘quad’ is compatible with the Bosch PowerMore battery extender.

Suspension is handled by a combination of SR/Suntour and RockShox - up front, you'll find an SR Suntour Zeron 36-X Boost fork with 160mm of travel, while a Deluxe Select Air shock handles the rear suspension and provides 150mm of travel. The durable wheels are wrapped on WTB ST i30 rims with a 30mm inner width, Shimano hubs, and shod in Schwalbe Magic Mary tyres. Everything is tubeless, of course. Shifting is handled by a Shimano CUES U6000 LinkGlide 11-speed set, which is specifically designed for e-bikes. Safe stopping is ensured by Tektro Gemini SL 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes, featuring 203 mm discs. Of course, there is a Cannondale DownLow telescopic seatpost with 150-230 mm of travel, depending on the frame size.
