It pays to shift

DH racers routinely push E-MTB level wattage out of the start gate or into the finish line. With traditional cog-and-chain technology, they may lose up to half their power during a shift as they momentarily ease off to let the chain disengage and re-engage safely. This means they’re giving up time and pace with every shift. XX DH’s Cassette Mapping means you never need to let up, allowing for full power through every shift, with no loss in momentum. This means that every shift is faster, helping you bank milliseconds with every gear step. No hesitation, no let-up, just pure race pace.

Locked in

The strongest DH derailleur available. Period. Utilizing the now standard Hangerless Interface, XX DH takes the same robust architecture as our other Transmission derailleurs and delivers an even more robust, DH-focused design ready for World Cup start huts or the gnarliest freeride lines. Full Mount clamps around both sides of the frame itself and eliminates the need for a hanger, allowing the derailleur to rotate backward in the case of an impact. The XX DH rear derailleur features rebuildable components: skid plates, outer link, and the DH-optimized Inline Cage.

Tight and tidy

With a Full Mount derailleur positioned as far inboard as possible, XX DH sits out of harm’s way. And as more downhill bikes adopt the 148mm rear hub standard, derailleur and rotor components move inboard, giving your heels more clearance. Building on this, the XD SLIM hub standard enables the narrowest possible spoke bracing angle and a symmetric spoke bracing angle, delivering stronger, faster wheel builds and improved tensioning. Together, these elements form a complete drivetrain, wheel, and brake system optimized for maximum clearance and superior race tuning.

Machined for wear

Drawing on our best aluminum crank, we designed a ground-up, purpose-built, battle-ready DH crankset. The robust XX DH arms feature machined surfaces in high-wear and rock strike-prone areas, keeping your cranks looking fresh for longer. For greater ground clearance and more weight-balancing options, XX DH crank arms are available in progressively shorter lengths, ranging from 165mm to 150mm.

By increasing folding and impact resistance, the all-new XX DH T-Type chainring is specifically designed to withstand the heaviest demands of downhill riding.

XX DH Transmission isn’t Eagle, but it taps into the Eagle Transmission Ecosystem where it counts. Shared T-Type components open the door for more mix-and-match flexibility across builds. At the heart of the system is the XX Eagle Transmission Flattop Chain with a hollow-pin design and Hard Chrome finish, delivering maximum strength and long-haul durability. And for slopestyle or aggressive Enduro builds, XX DH cranksets are available with DUB MTB Wide spindles for 55mm chainline.

Time in the pits is practice time missed. That’s why XX DH uses a similar prepare, hang, tighten set up procedure as Eagle Transmission, making rebuilds and swap-outs as efficient as possible. And for the first time, AXS comes to downhill, eliminating cable housing contamination, routing complexity, and number plate interference.

With the power of AXS, we can deliver the most precise shifting and the cleanest cockpit. As with T-Type, the derailleur and cassette are designed to work in lockstep via Cassette Mapping, delivering consistent chain engagement for uninterrupted power transfer. The first thing to know about the XX Eagle Transmission chain is that it’s the strongest we have ever made. Specifically engineered to optimize Eagle Transmission, this all-new T-Type design features a unique flat top. Not only does this shape maximize shifting performance, but it also contemporizes the look of your super bike. The chain features a hollow pin design and is finished in a long-wearing, high-durability chrome.

Eagle Transmission Chainring 104 BCD

Designed to integrate Ochain into the Eagle Transmission T-Type Ecosystem, this chainring features a 104 BCD interface and an optimized architecture for easy integration.
