Fizik R1 Light Saddle Range: The lightest is even lighter

15.01.2026

Italian saddle manufacturer Fizik is constantly innovating. With the arrival of the new season, it is introducing three new saddles from its top-of-the-line R1 Light Range. What are these saddles, and what's new about them?

WHAT IS NEW AT FIZIK R1 LIGHT RANGE?

20% LIGHTER VS PREVIOUS R1 LINE

Significantly lighter than the R1 model - 20% weight reduction - without sacrificing performance or durability.

NO COMPROMISE ON COMFORT

Despite the lighter build and minimalist design, comfort remains a top priority thanks to refined ergonomics and advanced materials.

COVERLESS CONSTRUCTION

A stripped-down, high-performance design with no traditional cover, reducing weight and enhancing direct feedback from the bike.

GRIPPIER SURFACE

The exposed structure delivers increased grip, ensuring rider stability even in aggressive or wet riding conditions

Fizik Vento Argo R1 Light

A performance racing saddle with a short-nose design that improves stability and allows for a more aggressive, aero riding position—paired with a lightweight EVA padding and carbon rails.

Argo R1 Light is an advanced short-nose saddle designed to promote stability while reducing soft-tissue pressure in a variety of riding scenarios—even when adopting aggressive, aerodynamic body positioning. Featuring a generous central cutout, lightweight EVA padding, carbon rail, and carbon[1]reinforced nylon shell, Argo R1 Light balances comfort with competitive performance.

FIZIK VENTO ANTARES R1 LIGHT

A high-performance saddle that features a streamlined shape with a tapered nose-to-wing transition, paired with lightweight EVA padding and carbon rails to deliver a responsive ride in any competitive condition.

Antares is a winning name in the fizik saddle family for over two decades. Antares R1 Light represents the latest step in an ongoing victorious lineage. With its low profile and strong nose-to-wing transition, Antares allows for a wide range of fore-to-aft movement, presented in a Light version that blends weight-saving EVA padding with carbon rails and a carbon-reinforced nylon shell for uncompromising racing performance.

FIZIK TEMPO ALIANTE R1 LIGHT

A lightweight endurance road saddle with a waved profile, built for lasting comfort—featuring EVA foam padding, carbon rails, and a pressure-relieving cutout to keep long rides smooth and enjoyable.

Prioritizing lasting comfort for riders who spend long days on the saddle, Aliante R1 Light combines the support of a waved profile with the pressure relief of a wide central cutout. EVA foam padding minimizes the bumps from rough riding surfaces, while the pairing of a carbon rail and a carbon-reinforced nylon shell further reduces weight without sacrificing comfort.
