Arione is a high-performance racing saddle designed for speed and aerodynamic riding positions. Its extended, streamlined shape makes it the longest saddle in the fizik range, offering ample fore-to-aft mobility to support powerful pedaling and frequent position changes during road races and time trials.
MULTIPLE FEAUTERS FOR MIXED DISCIPLINES
Arione features an optional rear link that integrates a water-bottle cage, keeping bottles clear of the saddle during mounting and dismounting in transition zones. UCI-compliant rail insertion enables a wide range of adjustability, supporting an optimal forward position and improved aerodynamic efficiency.
ARIONE R1 ADAPTIVE
Introducing the next generation of Arione: Arione R1 Adaptive. Bringing together the flat profile and streamlined shape of our high-performance racing saddle with the tailored zonal comfort of our 3D-printed Adaptive padding, Arione Adaptive provides balanced support from nose to tail, for riders who prioritize complete freedom of movement and aerodynamic body positioning. Finished with a carbon-reinforced nylon shell and a weight-saving carbon rail.
Using Carbon® technology, biomechanics and engineers have an unprecedented capability: to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, tuning each separately for specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional zones is engineered for a distinct cushioning and mechanical response, integrated progressively and seamlessly into a single padding. The result? A 60% reduction in peak pressure through improved weight distribution for increased comfort across the entire saddle surface.

As the longest saddle in our lineup, Arione allows for considerable fore-to-aft movement, letting riders find their ideal power and comfort centers while reducing pressure in the most aerodynamic riding positions. In this configuration, Arione R1 Light combines low-profile injected EVA padding with a ride-compliant shell and a highly stiff carbon rail.
Engineered for low weight and high-performance riding, R1 Light construction combines a carbon-reinforced nylon shell with ultra-stiff carbon rails for a responsive, lightweight platform. Injected EVA padding delivers low-profile, reactive cushioning that maintains comfort and support without sacrificing the ergonomic shape or increasing thickness. The result: a saddle that reduces weight without compromise—ideal for long, fast days on the saddle.
ARIONE R3
Arione R3 is a balanced and supportive racing saddle designed with a flat profile and streamlined shape. As the longest saddle in our lineup, Arione allows for considerable fore-to-aft movement, letting riders find their ideal power and comfort centers while reducing pressure in the most aerodynamic riding positions. In this configuration, Arione R3 combines a ride-compliant shell with a lightweight, durable Kium hollow rail.
Arione features an ergonomic cutout, developed using detailed pressure analysis and input from medical experts,
that helps to relieve pressure and facilitate blood flow. Additionally, the padding is made from fizik’s proprietary Type 1 foam: a low-profile, reactive formulation that delivers springy support for an instant response and optimal power transfer with every pedal stroke.
ARIONE R5
Arione R5 is a comfortable, ride-compliant saddle with a flat profile and streamlined shape. As the longest saddle in our lineup, Arione allows for considerable fore-to-aft movement, letting riders find their ideal power and comfort centers while reducing pressure in the most aerodynamic riding positions. Built with our low-profile Type-1 foam padding, Arione R5 provides lasting support—complete with a carbon-reinforced nylon shell to save weight and ultra-durable S-Alloy rail.
