Cannondale CAAD14: Aluminium legend is back

10.03.2026

If you know, you know. And if you know...this one’s for you. CAAD14 is here. The latest evolution of the aluminum revolution that we started back in 1983 is here to reclaim the throne and bring back the thrill of true high-performance alloy road bikes.

Sure. Carbon bikes dominate most of the racing scene now, and for good reason. Carbon fiber is amazing stuff. But well-crafted aluminum has an aliveness, an urgency, a vibe that nothing else can match. Honed from our decades of experience building groundbreaking alloy frames, CAAD14 wears its aluminum-ness like a badge of honor. It’s not trying to be some price-point imitation of carbon, it’s playing to its strengths as a material. It’s a celebration of what we love about aluminum and a return to the performance roots we planted: big tubes, smooth welds, clean lines, and an aggressive stance. Stiffness, explosiveness, and razor-sharp handling. It’s engaging and raw, like a streetfighter poet. It doesn’t care what people think. It’s not interested in following trends, showing off at the coffee shop, or taking it easy. It lives to get after it, mix it up in the corners, dance away on the climbs, and dive under fools on the descents. It’s beautiful and refined, but in a pared-down, purposeful way. Light and lean. No frills, no fluff, yet wholly modern. It’s aluminum as aluminum was meant to be.

CAAD14 is a return to form for CAAD road bikes, a statement of intent, and a full-on celebration of the 13th element. It’s not for everyone, but for those who get it, nothing else will do.

Cannondale CAAD 14

A lineage of fast aluminum shaped over decades—smooth welds, clean geometry, road-true handling. CAAD14 is built for the raw feel of riding: the pull, the side-glance, the shoulder-to-shoulder sprint, the arms-up finish.

Not Carbon. Not Sorry.

CAAD14 delivers the ride that made Cannondale famous – the perfect blend of smooth and snappy. Explosive, immediate, and alive, with razor-sharp handling and instinctive response, CAAD14 is built to take the inside line, crush town line sprints, and dance away on climbs.

Raw Performance

The classic frame silhouette offers a unique aesthetic, staying true to the material rather than mimicking carbon shapes. CAAD14 highlights aluminum’s strengths, enhancing the ride experience in harmony with the material’s natural qualities.

Cannondale Advanced Aluminum Design

We’re CAAD to the core. It’s in our DNA. We’ve been pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with aluminum longer than anyone, and with CAAD14, we’ve taken all those decades of experience, all the learnings, all the Grand Tour wins and World Championships, and distilled them into something special. This is high-performance aluminum as it was meant to be.

Built To Last

CAAD14 is built to go the distance. With proven aluminum construction, timeless design, and ride-all-day performance that holds up year after year, it’s the kind of bike you’ll still be racing, training on, or just loving to ride long after others have moved on. Built to excite. Warrantied for life.

Easy To Own

Let’s be real—this bike was built to be ridden hard. That’s all part of the appeal. So, we made it easy to own, with reliable, easy-to-source parts like a threaded BB, UDH, and a 27.2mm seatpost. Which, of course, makes it simple to customize if that’s your thing. Make it your own.

Performance Within Reach

With CAAD14, you get the performance and quality you expect from Cannondale, packaged in a way that offers added value. It's the perfect entry into Cannondale high-performance road riding.

Features

32mm Tire Clearance

Fits tires with a measured width of up to 32mm with 4mm of clearance on all sides for grip, comfort, and control across real-world road surfaces.

Delta Steerer + Full Carbon Fork

A pizza-slice-shaped steerer feeds the lines straight into the frame, keeping the cockpit tidy and the headtube slim. The shape frees space, delivering sleek looks and reduced drag.

BSA Bottom Bracket

The 68mm BSA bottom bracket brings threaded reliability to the CAAD14 — easy to service, easy to trust, a pleasure to own.

UDH—Universal by Nature

The UDH dropout makes CAAD14 easy to live with—replacement hangers are simple to find anywhere, thanks to its universal fit. And when paired with SRAM’s full-mount derailleurs, the same design opens the door to broader gearing setups and future-proof builds.

SystemBar R-One

Exceptional aero meets confident control. In collaboration with MOMODesign, this cockpit blends drag-reducing shapes and clean cable integration with refined ergonomics and style.
